Patricia S. Huzel is a legal nurse consultant in the firm’s Medical Malpractice Department. Patty has over 20 years of experience as a nurse in the Labor and Delivery and Neonatal ICU departments of local hospitals, where she was also active in working with the hospitals’ Risk Management departments. In addition, she has served on various quality improvement committees during her nursing career. In her current position, Patty lends her health care experience to the support of the firm’s medical malpractice attorneys by collecting and analyzing medical, employment, and educational records; finding and retaining experts in multiple specialties; and conducting medical research. In addition, Patty developed the firm’s birth trauma research database. Patty’s extensive experience in obstetrical nursing assists attorneys in the defense of complex birth trauma cases.
