Jay Kakaty is shareholder practicing in the areas of estate planning, business planning, and entertainment law. Jay also has extensive experience practicing entertainment law. In 2013, Crain’s Detroit Business recognized him as one of the “who’s who” in Michigan’s music industry. Moreover, Jay has helped negotiate and advise clients with recording deals and publishing deals, with major labels and publishers. Jay practices out of the firm’s Grand Rapids, Ann Arbor, Holland, and Muskegon offices.

Jay is married to Niccole Kakaty and has two children, Broox Kakaty and Bella Kakaty. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family and attending MSU sporting events, he also manages the musical group Pop Evil.
