Drew Broaddus is a leading appellate advocate with two decades of experience in litigation and insurance matters. He has argued over 150 cases in the Michigan Court of Appeals and has also argued multiple cases in the Michigan Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, and various state and federal trial courts.
Throughout his career, Mr. Broaddus has successfully handled cases involving general negligence, premises liability, motor vehicle accidents, and insurance coverage disputes. His strategic approach has earned him recognition among clients and peers alike as seen through a variety of Super Lawyers and Top Lawyers accolades that he has received in recent years. In addition to his legal practice, Drew is an active member of professional organizations such as the Michigan Defense Trial Counsel (“MDTC”) and the State Bar of Michigan. Through his involvement in the Insurance and Indemnity Law Section of the State Bar, Mr. Broaddus published Bad Faith: What It Is, and What It Is Not, The Journal of Insurance & Indemnity Law, April 2017, p 3. And for nearly six years, Mr. Broaddus authored the Insurance Coverage Report published in MDTC’s Michigan Defense Quarterly. The Insurance Coverage Report is a quarterly summary of recent insurance coverage appellate decisions. Drew also sits on the MDTC’s Amicus Committee. From 2017-2020, he also served on the State Bar’s Appellate Practice Section Council.
