Smith Haughey Team Successfully Defends Against Malpractice Claim

Chris Genther and Ryne Takacs successfully defended a claim brought against their client, an orthopedic surgeon. Plaintiff experienced a fall resulting in a comminuted fracture of her ankle. Due to the severity of the injury, Plaintiff required surgical intervention to address and fix the fracture.

It was alleged that as a result of surgery, Plaintiff sustained an injury to her tendon causing a deformity and infection, and was forced to undergo multiple additional surgeries to correct the injuries brought on by the alleged malpractice.

Following significant and aggressive motion practice, an Order of dismissal was obtained by Defendant.
